Extended Warranty
Industry-leading lifetime warranty on structural components, backed by Australian Consumer Law.
This extended warranty applies to goods sold by N&A Manufacturing Pty Ltd (trading as GWorks) (GWorks).
Rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits conferred by this extended warranty are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Coverage of Extended Warranty
Warranty provided
Goods sold by GWorks, when used in normal conditions in accordance with their specifications and our maintenance recommendations and safety warnings, will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period specified in section 2.2. The Extended Warranty is provided for no fee with all Goods.
Subject to the exclusions set out in section 2.3, if a Good is defective in material or workmanship, GWorks will either repair or replace the Good at its absolute discretion. GWorks is not liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses other than the costs associated with the repair or replacement of the Good.
Period of warranty
GWorks provides an industry-leading Lifetime Warranty on the following structural components of the Goods for the original end-user purchaser:
- The structural internal canopy framework
- Welding to the tray and canopy
- The tray mount
- The structural tray framework
This Lifetime Warranty remains valid for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. If the original end-user purchaser is a corporation, the warranty period is 10 years from the date of installation completion.
For all other components, the Extended Warranty is for a period of 12 months, beginning from the date GWorks notifies you that installation is complete and your vehicle is ready for collection.
Exclusions
The Extended Warranty does not apply to defects arising as a result of:
- Misuse (including use other than in accordance with the specifications or intended use), neglect or mistreatment
- Improper maintenance
- The use of accessories not manufactured by GWorks
- Failure by the purchaser to comply with all applicable laws
- Vehicle exceeds the applicable axle load limits and/or Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) rating, including any approved GVM upgrade certification where fitted.
- Damage or failure relating to factory vehicle chassis mounts, body mounts, or associated mounting points is not covered under warranty
- External influences such as accident, fire, extreme weather, vandalism or climatic effects such as damage caused by salt water or sand
- General wear and tear
- Repairs, modifications or alterations not performed by GWorks
Transfer
The Extended Warranty is limited to the original end-user purchaser of the Good and will expire upon transfer of the Good to another individual or entity.
Extended Warranty Claims
What to do when a Good is defective
If you suspect that a Good is defective, you must promptly contact GWorks to make a claim in accordance with section 3.2 and, if directed by GWorks, immediately cease using the Good.
How to claim
To make a claim under this Extended Warranty, contact GWorks via email or telephone using the details in section 4. GWorks requires the following information to process your claim:
- Your name
- Your contact information including contact phone number and email address
- Details of the Good, including any reference number recorded on your invoice
- Details of the alleged defect(s) including the specific component affected, a description, and photos evidencing the defect
- Any additional evidence or information that you wish to provide or is otherwise reasonably required by GWorks
Unless otherwise agreed, GWorks also requires that you make the Good available at its nearest workshop for inspection and testing.
3.3 Responding to a Claim
Gworks will respond to your claim within 5 business days of receipt and, if required, make arrangements for the delivery of the Good to Gworks for inspection and testing.
Gworks will advise of the outcome of your claim, including whether the Good will be repaired or replaced, within 10 business days of the Good being delivered to Gworks or, if Gworks does not require delivery of the Good to its workshop, within 10 business days of the date that Gworks responds to your claim.
If Gworks determines that the Good has a defect which is covered by the Extended Warranty, Gworks will promptly either repair or replace the Good (as it determines in its absolute discretion) and make the Good available for collection once complete; or send a replacement for the Good to you, in which case you will be responsible for the installation of the replacement Good. The claim will then be closed.
If you do not provide information reasonably requested by Gworks or do not make the Good available for inspection and testing as required, the claim will be closed. If the claim is closed, you will not be able to submit a subsequent claim in relation to that defect under this Extended Warranty. This does not prevent you from submitting a subsequent claim if you believe there is a different defect in the Good.
